The Cannabis Regulation Oversight Officer (CROO) released a notice for cannabis business establishments in Illinois concerning Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags from Metrc. Businesses may also purchase tags independently from Metrc at their own expense. There are two types of RFID Tags: Plant and Package Tags.

The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) and the Division of Cannabis Regulation announced today an official Metrc implementation timeline for licensed cannabis businesses transitioning from BioTrack to Metrc as Illinois’ track-and-trace data system. The suit alleges that the scope of the recall covers nearly 65,000 pounds of cannabis flower worth nearly $230M.
