IDOA announces Metrc implementation timeline

Phase 2: April 25-May 25: Cultivation Centers, Craft Growers, and Infusers o Gain access to Metrc, o Prepare staff and inventory management systems, o Review processes and procedures, o Transition and tag inventory into Metrc system. By the end of Phase 2 and Phase 3, those licensees should have inventory tagged and recorded in Metrc.

CROO releases notice for RFID Tags from Metrc

The Cannabis Regulation Oversight Officer (CROO) released a notice for cannabis business establishments in Illinois concerning Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags from Metrc. Businesses may also purchase tags independently from Metrc at their own expense. There are two types of RFID Tags: Plant and Package Tags.
