Washington State Might Modify its Cannabis Policies

The state’s population has grown by 1.45% since 2019, hitting a total estimated population of 7,656,200 citizens as of April 1st, 2020, according to a government website. The 2021 legislative session is set to see some changes to cannabis policy. 2021 is setting up to be a historic year for changes in cannabis policy.

NY: Audit says New York Department of Agriculture and Markets Not Up To Speed on Hemp

DiNapoli’s office, the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets inspected only 57 percent of growers authorized to produce hemp under a state pilot program that authorizes the limited cultivation of the plant. The report also said officials didn’t follow a draft policy for quarantining and disposing of non-compliant samples.

Alabama passed legislation , which took effect in June 2019, expanding its definition of hemp and removing hemp from the definition of THC. The Alaska Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Agriculture published proposed rules that will require retailers selling hemp-derived CBD products to register with the Division.
