Despite the fact that Illinois’ prohibitive laws for on-sight cannabis consumption have foiled many event planners from hosting events, Illinois may be set to host more cannabis-friendly events in 2023 than the last three years combined. The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) recognizes that it is important to be compliant with state and federal guidelines regarding social and physical distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. A sampling of NORML-affiliated online events taking place this 4/20 is included below.
High-Minded Events has finalized it talent lineup for the 2023 “ Higher Love – Pride Month Kick Off” next month. Phil Cooper, Owner and Founder of High-Minded Events, invites all LGBTQ+ budtenders, buyers, and their allies to come kick-off pride at the second annual Higher Love. Higher Love is scheduled for 6-10 p.m.
The Illinois Hemp Growers Association (IHGA) is scheduled to host two events in September. The first event, the Future of Hemp in Illinois , will discuss the controversy surrounding D-8 products, the Farm Bill, and other industry insight.
