The U.S. cannabis industry is still in its infancy, even though states began engaging with legalization in one form or another in the late 1990s. Today, many opportunities exist for individuals and businesses that want to engage in the industry. Some want to directly own licensed businesses, while others prefer to keep the industry at an arm’s length and merely profit from it.
What are some of the more common reasons dermatologists recommend cannabinoid-based medicines? According to the results of a survey of 145 dermatologists, 91 % of dermatologists were in support of medical cannabis use and 13.8 % have recommended it for a dermatologic condition. An organization representing mayors from across the U.S. adopted a resolution imploring Congress to pass a bill to safeguard banks that work with state-legal marijuana businesses from federal penalties. The U.S. Conference of Mayors approved the measure during the body’s 90th annual meeting on Monday.
