A recent Ontario court ruling sided with firefighters regarding random drug tests for cannabis. In December 2018, Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority updated its policies to demand random drug testing. They were concerned that Canada’s legalization of cannabis (which had only occurred) would make it more likely firefighters would show up to work high.

IOL South Africa reports. Durban – The Western Cape High Court has dismissed the application of a company director who made an application to decriminalise cannabis “grow clubs”. Last year, Neil Tristan Liddell, the director of The Haze Club (THC), and his employee Adam van Houten brought an application against the minister of police and others to determine the legality of growing cannabis.

Proposition 65 cannabis regulations are no joke, and they continue to change. For better or worse, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (a/k/a Prop. 65) has long plagued California businesses. Cannabis businesses are no exception (see here and here ). Prop. 65 requires businesses to provide “a clear and reasonable warning before they cause an exposure to a chemical listed as known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.”.

LOVE Hemp has been forced to pay a £70,000 ‘financial penalty’ to the Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE) for breaching a number of guidelines, including the publication of ‘misleading’ information. The embattled CBD company, which has had its shares suspended from the platform since early May, announced last week that it had ‘reached a settlement’ with AQSE regarding a disciplinary notice.
