Cannabis is one of the oldest cultivated crops in human history, with records dating back nearly 20,000 years. Cannabis ruderalis is a cannabis species thought to have originated in Russia. But what makes ruderalis notable is its ability to autoflower. As humanity spread and intercontinental trade grew, cannabis moved with it.
There are three distinct species of Cannabis: Sativa, Indica, and Ruderalis. Even though the 2018 Farm Bill changed that legal definition, law enforcement has yet to change with it. Before we can talk about why hemp and marijuana are different, let’s talk about how the two plants are similar.
The 3 rd and last species of cannabis we will discuss is Ruderalis. This species prefers warmer climates such as Thailand and close to home in Swaziland where these plants have a long history.
