Illinois News Joint

While Super Boof has been around for a while now, 2023 was the real breakout year for the funny-named strain. Northern Heights by Oregonix included the cut as part of the labels first strain drops, and it immediately grabbed my attention. I stopped into nuEra Champaign and picked up an eighth to sample.

Review: Gelonade by Legends

Illinois News Joint

As a big fan of lemon-heavy strains, I imagined Lemon Tree would be the perfect personal cultivar. Review: Panama MAC #5 by PTS

Illinois News Joint

Strains come, strains go. The larger flowers were nicely trimmed with a sparkling trichome frost, but the smaller buds had a bit more sugar leaf left over. The aroma opened with a tropical tangy blend of mango, pineapple, green apple, and lemon. It is the nature of the dispensary menu.

Review: Don Shula by nuEra

Illinois News Joint

After a couple years covering the product space in the Illinois market, it’s easy to tell which strains are cultivator’s darlings. Visible milky trichomes dotted the surface, but the frost layer was light. The smooth smoke delivered a rich garlic, earth, and skunk base complemented by highlights of lemon and pepper.
