In clinical trials, psilocybin (the psychoactive substance in mushrooms) has shown tremendous promise in treating severe depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental illnesses. The War on Drugs is a failure and continuing to focus law enforcement resources on people using cannabis and psilocybin doesn’t make sense.
