Over the years, we’ve learned what a president can—and, more importantly, cannot—do to shape cannabis policy. Americans for Safe Access (ASA) has been at the forefront of fighting for patients’ rights to access medical cannabis across four presidencies since our founding in 2002.
Recently, I learned that Americans for Safe Access is now relying mostly on volunteers for its work. ASA is the only national medical cannabis patient organization that is working towards protecting patients.
We learned online about parents successfully utilizing cannabis treatments; many of them were moving their families to states with medical cannabis programs. Some of you may know me through the cannabis industry, but you may not know what brought me here and how Americans for Safe Access changed my family’s lives.
