Much like MedMen’s glass-enclosed “ apple store of weed ” revolutionized the cannabis buying experience, consumption lounges will finally bring cannabis out of the shadows and into full sight. Possibly in 2023 or later : Maine and Massachusetts.

This agency will build upon the existing medical cannabis program regulations and ensure health, safety, and security within the industry. Can I apply for a cannabis license?

Rollout of some hemp regulations staggered into 2023. . The new rules take effect January 1, 2022, but the implementation of some of the regulations will extend into 2023. In anticipation of the upcoming market changes, OLCC will now begin accepting label applications for marijuana edibles that exceed 50 mg THC in the package.

As of April 2023, 24 states, including Washington DC, have unintentionally legalized hemp-derived intoxicants, including delta-8 THC, by updating their controlled substance laws to reflect the changes in the 2018 farm bill. Despite its legality, there are concerns about the safety and regulation of delta-8 THC products.
