Illinois switches to new vendor for cannabis seed-to-sale system

May 2023, the Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced that Illinois was switching its cannabis seed-to-sale tracking system from BioTrack to Metrc and listed this transition as an Essential Projects in the FY2023 Annual Cannabis Report and again in the FY2024 report. Today, IDFPR announced it has executed a contract for a new seed to-sale system for Illinois growing medical and adult use cannabis programs.
