It seems they could never really compete with the NCIA who have been around since 2010 and always had a larger war chest to play with. Our main comment is that only having one association representing the industry as a whole probably will concentrate power with certain people and companies mirroring a certain set of assumptions and that’s not always best for the wider ecosystem.

The Department of Cannabis Control (Department) provided notice on June 17, 2022, of its intent to adopt regulations to implement, interpret, and make specific requirements for obtaining a Large Cultivation License as well providing a pathway for existing licensees to convert to medium or large cultivation licenses. After mailing copies of the notice and proposed text, the Department discovered a typographical error concerning the day of the week of the scheduled public hearing.

Good question. Pristine nature and national parks go hand in hand but be cautious! National parks abide by federal law and cannabis remains illegal under federal law, however cannabis containing less than 0.3 percent THC is considered technically legal. An additional note: national parks in the United States abide by their own separate regulations that may vary.

All the votes have now been counted and as the leader of the Legalize Cannabis Party in Australia, Michael Balderstone, highlights in this email sent out today they are numbers that really call for change to be seriously considered by the incoming Labor government.
