Illinois yearly medical cannabis sales drop for third year

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) released its December medical cannabis sales totals and final yearly totals. For 2024, retail sales by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries finished at $285,059,601.92. The 2024 totals continued a 3-year downward trend for yearly totals, dropping below $300 million for the first time since 2019. The 2024 totals dropped nearly $40 millions from the 2023 totals of $324,792,664.73.
