Clinical trials into cannabis’ potential as an opioid replacement are well underway in South Africa. Quite frankly, the clinical trials couldn’t have come at a better time. What’s more, the soon-to-be-introduced strain is laden with myrcene and beta-caryophyllene terpenes.

I do want to say that when it comes to anxiety, sleep, I mean, what we do, for example, in Bazelet, which is quite unique, as far as oil products are concerned, this is something that is we have a lot of intellectual property on the use of terpenes in creating cannabis formulations. Clinical research: Research is focusing on 5-MeO-DMT use in depression and anxiety. Current clinical trials are underway using a synthetic nasal spray of 5-MeO-DMT in patients with major depressive disorder. As such, there have been numerous clinical trials using ketamine.
