Review: Green T by Rythm

Illinois News Joint

I first sampled a strain from Rythms Artist Series last March. R&B artist Tinashe is one of the latest to work with the label, selecting the curated strain Green T. The flowers were dark with an olive-drab base tone further darkened by an ambering trichome layer and the remnants of forest-green and black-sugar leaves.

Review: 3D by Seed & Strain

Illinois News Joint

Seed & Strain from Columbia Care had been one of those brands that had eluded me, until now. From the Sativa Flower kit, I pulled the 3D strain for my first Seed & Strain review. A close trim job left very little sugar leaf and highlighted a trichome layer that had just begun to show signs of ambering.

Review: Supreme Planet by Blaze

Illinois News Joint

Mosca Seeds has been producing gear for more than a decade, and again, one of the breeders strains has found its way into Illinois dispensaries. The buds were turf green across the rest of the surface and brightened by a frosty looking layer of milky trichomes. The scent was noticeable as soon as I broke the seal on the bag.

Review: Funky Lo Mein by Revolution

Illinois News Joint

Im a sucker for a great strain name. A layer of solidly milky trichomes reached out from beneath hairs, glittering in direct light ,while remnants of lime-green sugar leaf added even more visual contrast. Review: Pacific Pie by Flora

Illinois News Joint

I became tired of doughy strains when cookie and pie strains were first making their mark on menus. Large capitate-stalk trichomes were transitioning from clear to milky and visible with the naked eye. All information presented here is not meant as a substitute for or alternative to information from healthcare practitioners.

Review: Grand Master Sexy by Kaviar

Illinois News Joint

Kaviar is no stranger to playfulness, releasing strains such as Blue Unicorn Poop. The trichome frost had started to transition from solidly milky towards a honey amber, almost camouflaging it among the olive flower tone. A level of playfulness exists in cannabis that simply doesn’t in many other industries.
