Safety-sensitive positions, which include commercial drivers, are subject to regular drug testing, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion tests.

Currently, marijuana is a Schedule I substance, meaning it is thought to have no medical value, a high probability of addiction, and a lack of any accepted safety or use in medically supervised treatment. Therefore, it was not surprising that President Biden asked for the review.
