The use of cannabis for medicinal purposes can be dated back to as early as 2700 B.C.; the Chinese, European, and Indian populations would use the plant for its healing effects as an antidepressant, antiseptic, antibiotic, analgesic, anesthetic and sedative. It was used to make clothes and ropes, along with many other daily-use items.
