Review: Hazelnut Cream by matter
By Mark’s Manual
I picked up an eighth of PharmaCann’s Hazelnut Cream by matter at Verilife River North. It’s great to have a sativa on hand when I’m looking to get things done, but obviously, not every sativa has the same effect. The results can range from an intense focus to wildly energetic, and depending on the task, it’s good to know what’s on hand.
Hazelnut Cream is a sativa-dominant hybrid cross of Miami Haze and Cookies and Cream. This batch tested at 22.6% THCa and 0.76% THC with a diverse terpene profile, including 0.38% limonene, 0.19% linalool, 0.19% β-myrcene, 0.13% β-caryophyllene, 0.07% α-terpineol.
The dense medium size buds had a deep forest green color with many orange pistils. The lid came off the plastic jar, and the aroma delivered a robust, dank, and mossy start with hints of nuttiness, funk, and citrus.
I packed a couple of quarter cones on the weekend and lit ‘em up. After the initial lighting, I picked up flavors of orange cream and wintergreen. The flavor also carried notes of citrus and a creamy nut medley, including hazelnut and almonds.
It was a smooth smoke that brought on a quick head buzz. The energy was like drinking a cup of coffee. I was smiling and laughing and felt energetic and euphoric. The cerebral high didn’t help me focus but kept my mind bouncing around.
By the time I had finished smoking the joint, I felt almost jittery, and it was nice to stand up and walk around. The light body buzz eased pain but didn’t weigh my body down.
For myself, I wouldn’t necessarily smoke this one before work, but it could be great before a workout or any recreational physical activity. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
