Jeff Zuber, Partner, Zuber Lawler

Jeff Zuber is a founder of Zuber Lawler. He focuses on high-stakes intellectual property, regulatory and commercial litigation. He does this work for Fortune companies and funds, as well as leading cannabis companies. He is increasingly focused on representations relating to the emerging psychedelics industry. He’s had extreme success representing clients in hotly contested corporate and partnership disputes in the “plant” medicines industry going back 16 years. He recently won a $65 million award in an arbitration over a cannabis distribution contract relating to The Weekend Box, including punitive damages and attorney’s fees. He is also a founder of the magazine Psychedelia. He is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington.

Lizzie Fanckboner, Associate, Zuber Lawler

Lizzie Fanckboner focuses primarily on plant medicine matters, including as to both cannabis and psychedelics. She has experience with deals, regulatory compliance, license applications, contract drafting, and other related regulatory and corporate matters. Particularly, she counsels dispensary owners, infused product manufacturers, cultivators, transporters, and other businesses, including those seeking new cannabis and psychedelics licenses, through the complex and interconnected state and local regulatory frameworks. Lizzie has represented clients before various regulatory authorities in connection with applications and license acquisitions. She has also assisted clients with conducting complex due diligence, and identifying, reviewing, and drafting documents necessary for license acquisitions and applications.

Terron East, Associate, Zuber Lawler

Terron East focuses on general corporate practice, including corporate governance, securities filings, insurance regulation, securitization, leveraged finance, M&A, and capital markets. He also drafts licensing, procurement, and other agreements, and has extensive experience with cannabis regulatory compliance. Mr. East graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University and earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Raza Lawrence focuses on deals and regulatory work, particularly in relation to emerging industries and technologies. He has a particularly deep focus on the cannabis and psychedelics industries. Mr. Lawrence is widely recognized as a leading voice in plant medicine law.
