MGA advises on corporate, intellectual property, venture financing, M&A, and other matters in the creative, technology, media, cannabis, blockchain, consumer product, and entertainment industries. For many clients, MGA serves as outside general counsel, managing their clients’ entire legal portfolio.
Job Description
We are looking for a mid to senior-level corporate associate to join our digital asset and blockchain practice. This position will advise companies on navigating the legal, business, and regulatory issues around online and mobile payments, consumer and peer-to-peer lending, virtual and digital currency, blockchain technology, token generation events, as well as prepaid, loyalty, and rewards programs.
Candidate must have experience with and understanding of blockchain and digital asset-related technologies and related financing and transaction structures. Candidate must also have experience representing technology companies in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including early and late-stage venture financings and M&A transactions, along with general experience both working in teams and in managing substantial components of transactions independently.
General Requirements
Candidates applying for attorney positions with MGA should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) in New York or California is required.
