Review: Jupiter by Rythm
Unlike most people who live in central and southern Illinois, I have access to nearly a dozen dispensaries within an 80-mile radius. So when I noticed Rise Effingham listed a few Rythm strains by Green Thumb that we have not yet reviewed, I drove down and picked up three samples. This review is for the strain Jupiter.
Jupiter is a hybrid cross of Chem 4 and Goliath. This eighth tested at 27.87% THCa, 0.54% THC, and 28.40% total cannabinoids. The top three matching terpenes at 0.44% were β-caryophyllene, limonene, and β-pinene, followed by β-myrcene, linalool, and α-pinene.
The eighth of Jupiter came as one large cola and three medium-sized buds. The dense buds, especially the largest one, displayed that natural foxtail that Chem strains often do. Powdered in creamy trichomes, the buds were forest and dark green with thin rusty pistils blended in.
The aroma mixed hops, sweet herbs, chemmy pine, and earthy spice. The flavor added citrus and fruit. The inhale led with earthy citrus, hops, and gassy pine, with a spicy fruit, earthy mint, and funk on the back end. The exhale led with a blend of the same front and back end flavors as the inhale.
The effects landed square in the middle for a balanced hybrid head and body buzz. The head high started with a euphoric rush that at first was uplifting, cerebral, and relatively clearheaded. After the initial rush, heaviness settled in the eyes and crown of the head. With more doses, the head high became a little thought wondering and overall relaxing but never debilitating.
The creeper body buzz came on gradually and wasn’t noticeable until I stood up and moved about. With more doses, the body buzz also added more relaxation and muscle pain relief without, again, becoming debilitating. For patients searching for that classic center-of-the-road hybrid effects to medicate throughout almost any part of the day, Jupiter lands in the evenly balanced territory.
I medicated with Jupiter mostly in the afternoons and evenings, and I medicated with Jupiter once late at night when I needed to work for a few hours before falling asleep. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
