Oregon Psilocybin – Public Listening Sessions

December 2021 Listening Sessions

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) extends gratitude to all community members who took time to attend and participate in the first series of public listening sessions. We heard different perspectives on many topics and recognize the breadth of expertise that Oregonians hold and can contribute to ensure a safe and successful launch of the Oregon Psilocybin Services Section at OHA. Thank you for your respectful and helpful comments and questions.

Overview

OHA held a series of three virtual public listening sessions in December, 2021. The listening sessions were two hours in length and open to the general public. A short overview of Measure 109 (M109) was presented at the beginning of each session. The remainder of time was reserved for open public comment, which was focused around a different topic each day. Spanish interpretation was provided at all three sessions.

After the listening sessions, OHA staff compiled feedback across the three listening sessions and created a document that summarizes questions and answers (below). The listening sessions were recorded and will continue to inform future program development, educational materials, and community engagement.
