My experience at Higher Love 2023
High-Minded Events has emerged as a trailblazer in the realm of Illinois cannabis events. I have attended multiple HME events, and I can confidently say that each has been meticulously organized and extremely enjoyable. That was why I was thrilled to receive an invite to Higher Love, HME’s Pride Month kick-off event celebrating the intersection of the LGBTQ community and cannabis culture.
The choice of venue for Higher Love, the Palmhouse in Evanston, proved to be an inspired decision for the June 1 event. Its open-floor plan and seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces fostered an atmosphere that accommodated a sizable crowd while still maintaining an intimate vibe.
Once again, the impressive range of offerings available impressed me. From a well-stocked dab bar and enticing flower samples to an array of infused and non-infused snacks, as well as previews of upcoming products not yet available on the Illinois market. Participants were able to sample products from new infusers such as Enliven and Sweet Buzz to established brands such as Revolution and nuEra,
Following a thorough exploration of the booths, I opted to spend the remainder of the evening outside, basking in the delightful early summer weather that graced Chicago. Engaging in conversations with a few familiar and a few new faces from the Illinois cannabis industry, I couldn’t help but notice the striking normalization that High-Minded Events has achieved with its cannabis-themed gatherings.
High-Minded Events owner and founder, Phil Cooper, designs events to help normalize cannabis and welcomes the consumption of cannabis openly and honestly. The meticulous attention to detail and flawless execution consistently creates experiences that transcend the individual components, leaving attendees with lasting memories.
