The Guardian (UK) reports. A woman has died in east London after eating a suspected “cannabis sweet”. The 23-year-old from Ilford bought the “gummies” via a messaging app on her phone and they were delivered to her home in Ilford on 29 March, the Metropolitan police said. The sweets came in packaging branded “Trrlli Peachie O’s”. The woman and her 21-year-old friend ate one each and immediately became ill.

People on the Isle of Man with private prescriptions for medicinal cannabis could soon be able to access the products through a local pharmacy. The government is asking for bids from pharmacies to run a trial service for 12 months. A public consultation in 2019 showed strong support for access to the products to be made available. Medicinal cannabis is not currently available on the Manx NHS and no GPs are registered to prescribe it.

The Arizona Court of Appeals has ruled that a mother who gives birth to a baby with cannabis in its system cannot be charged with child neglect if she has a physician’s recommendation to use cannabis legally, Tuscon.com reports. The decision overturns a move by the Department of Child Safety (DCS) to put the mother on the agency’s “Central Registry” of parents who are found to have committed acts of child abuse and neglect.

According to CalCoastNews, Dayspring agreed to a “confidential settlement” with William Szymczak, an 83-year-old investor who put more than $17 million into businesses run by Dayspring, who owned 805 Agricultural Holdings and Natural Healing Center.

427 applications seek prequalification for Vermont retail cannabis market

Vermont has started taking prequalification applications from potential marijuana growers, retailers, product manufacturers and others as it prepares for a retail cannabis market to open this fall.
