Colombia Legalizes Public Cannabis Use as Potential Legalization Looms

Although still not fully confirmed, marijuana policy in Colombia appears to be inching closer to legalization. According to Forbes, the issue lay in Colombia’s 2017 Police Code – a set of laws put forth by President Iván Duque, who remains president to this day. An analysis by Colombia’s Constitutional Court found the law on public drug consumption (among other sections) to be unconstitutional.
