Easy Christmas Sugar Cookies for stoner stocking stuffer
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Large egg, room temperature
- 1-teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-teaspoons baking powder
- 2 3⁄4cups flour
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix baking powder and flour. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until fully incorporated.
- Roll out on lightly floured board to desired thickness.
- Cut out 2-1/2″ any desired Christmas shapes and bake at 400 degrees for 7- 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorate with your own touch; coloured icing, sprinkles, etc.
