A man has been charged and more than $3 million worth of marijuana was seized after a major drug bust across the NSW Central Coast and Sydney uncovered several sophisticated hydroponic grow houses. A rural property was discovered near Gosford that was being used for the large-scale farming of cannabis. On Thursday, police searched the property on Berecry Road, Mangrove Mountain, and found 630 cannabis plants worth more than $2.2 million.

A 49-year-old cannabis farmer was arrested for a third time this week after dagga worth R2 million was seized from his farm in Brits. Russel de Beer, who is a major supplier of dagga around the country, was arrested in 2019 when his shop Canapax was raided and dagga worth over R3 million seized. He was arrested in 2004 and 1.2 tons of dagga was found at his Kameeldrift farm, but the case was withdrawn and he sued the State for R2.6 million.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting persons suspected to be involved in organised crime, personal attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) carried out an operation in the Meath area yesterday, May 28. A vehicle and one premises were searched as part of this operation. 67.5kg of Cannabis Herb (pending analysis) with a value of €1.35 million was discovered and seized.

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled smuggling bids by conducting raids in different parts of Punjab and seized narcotics worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. A team of the ANF seized 20 kilogrammes of hashish from two passengers who were travelling on a bus from Quetta to Sargodha near Chashma Barrage in Mianwali.
