The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (“ 2018 Farm Bill ”) legalized hemp by removing the crop and its derivatives from the definition of marijuana under the Controlled Substances Act (“CSA”) and by providing a detailed framework for the cultivation of hemp. The 2018 Farm Bill gives the US Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) regulatory authority over hemp cultivation at the federal level.

The magazine refutes “some claims” that they did not plan to reimburse ticket buyers and the magazine says tickets to the October event will be honored at future Cannabis Cups “in that venue or elsewhere.

The first company in the British Isles to win a licence to harvest hemp flowers for cannabis oil has raised £2m, as investors rush to plough money into “green” start-ups. Jersey Hemp, based on the Channel island, was founded by former firefighter David Ryan and two colleagues in 2013.
