Now entrepreneur Tuomas Ahonen told Yle that he is the main suspect in the ongoing investigation. Michael Parente. On Monday, June 6, 2022, the North Carolina Senate voted on third reading to pass a bill that would allow medical cannabis use in the state. Senate Bill 711 received bipartisan support and passed by a vote of 36-7. The North Carolina Compassionate Care Act would allow physicians to issue a written certification for medical cannabis for patients with 15 listed medical conditions, including cancer, epilepsy, HIV, AIDS, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.

HELENA — Lewis and Clark County residents approved the local taxation of adult-use and medical marijuana Tuesday. Unofficial results from the Secretary of State’s Office show 76% of voters approved the 3% local taxation of adult-use marijuana and 24% opposed, with 19,561 votes cast. A 3% local taxation of medical marijuana was also approved with 53% in favor and 47% opposed, with 18,379 votes cast.

MISSOULA, Mont. — Voters in Silver Bow County have elected to impose a 3% local tax on marijuana products, according to preliminary results from the Montana Secretary of State’s Office. All 31 precincts have counted ballots and reported them to the state. Preliminary results indicate that 78% of county voters approved taxing non-medical marijuana, and 59% approved of taxing all marijuana products, including medicinal ones.

POLSON – The proposed marijuana taxes that went before Lake County voters in Tuesday’s election have apparently both passed. The first — which imposes a 3% tax on recreational marijuana and products sold within the county — was passing by a 79%-to-21% margin on Wednesday morning. The other marijuana tax request was a little closer. Lake County asked residents if a 3% option excise tax should be imposed on medical marijuana and related products sold within the county.

Twelve counties had the local-option tax on the ballot, and all approved the measures by wide margins. The lowest tally in favor of the tax was 73% in Ravalli County. Since the Legislature last year gave local jurisdictions the option to add the local 3% tax on recreational cannabis sales, every county to vote on the measure has approved the tax. The Montana Department of Revenue last week reported the latest monthly cannabis sales figures.
