On this episode of WisconsinEye’s Rewind: Your Week in Review, Emilee and JR discuss how after years of opposition to any form of marijuana legalization, Republican lawmakers are now working privately to build support for a medical cannabis program that could win bipartisan support and be enacted into law later this year. This was revealed by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to The Associated Press, and it comes as Democratic Minority Leader Sen. Melissa Agard launched “The Grass Routes Tour” to promote cannabis legalization in Wisconsin which includes the following town hall dates: May 4th – Platteville, May 10th – Wauwatosa, May 25th – Eau Claire, June 1st – Wausau.
