June’s Latest Cannabis / Psychedelic Education Updates – “Ending the Prohibition of the Mind: A Mushroom Symposium.” & Rowan University’s MBA –

April 19th I attended a virtual conference entitled, “Ending the Prohibition of the Mind: A Mushroom Symposium.”

The event was co-sponsored by Collar City Mushrooms and the People’s Health Sanctuary at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. It focused on New York State. Three New York State Assembly Persons were in attendance along with about 150 others.

Well-organized with diverse speakers, the most legally relevant discussion concerned New York Assembly Bills regarding the use of mushrooms. A7928 would establish a psychedelic research institute and a therapeutic research program. A6065 would decriminalize psilocybin. Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business now offers an MBA with a concentration in Cannabis Commercialization. Located in New Jersey, they created two distinct courses regarding law: Cannabis Legislation, Regulations, and Policy Evaluation, and Marijuana Legalization and Decriminalization in Work, Leisure, and Settings. Those are thoughtful divisions of the law for students approaching cannabis from a business perspective. The school also offers a graduate certificate in Cannabis Commercialization which is stand-alone and can be earned without the MBA.
