Psychedelics – Patents: Data Curator Promega Madison, WI

Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for data archival and curation, including, but not limited to, identifying and acquiring new documentation from relevant digital archives/libraries and databases, transfer, qualify and load documentation (digital archive, public and private domain databases).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Collaborate with Data Management experts to identify new, relevant, and high-quality prior art related to the clinical application of psychedelic compounds.
2. Communicate prior art targets, set goals, filter obtained results, generate curated summary intended for a patent examiner, and manage references collection using established management software.
3. Collaborate with legal experts to refine searches and improve/validate prior art summaries.
4. Understands and complies with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our mission.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
1. Interface with our IT and web-design team to improve search algorithms, optimize data display, and come up with creative ideas for improving our online resource and the user experience.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advance degree in life science, M.Sc., Ph.D. or currently working towards a Ph.D.
2. Knowledge of biochemical studies and common methodologies with a focus in neuroscience, biochemistry, and/or pharmacology.
3. Exceptional research skills, possessing the ability to read broadly, quickly, and effectively.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Related experience working in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Related experience or understanding of Psychedelic Research Industry and/or psychedelic compounds.
2. Knowledge of and experience or with patent law; patents and/or prior art and Intellectual Property policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to travel in the US and internationally. 10% or less travel required.
2. Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
