EC panel to vote on THC in foods

The European Commission’s Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (ScoPAFF) is again scheduled to vote on a proposal that would raise the acceptable amount of THC in marketable hemp foods in Europe, after having delayed a decision twice.

Under the proposal, which is on the ScoPAFF agenda next Monday, Feb. 28, the THC level for hempseed-derived oil would be set to 7.5 mg/kg, while dry hemp foods such as hulled and dehulled hemp seeds, flour and protein powder would be limited to 3.0 mg/kg.
