| The Cannabis Advisory Committee (CAC) will hold an Equity Subcommittee meeting on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.

The subcommittee will continue discussing specific data that can be collected to assess the presence and impact of equity business. The subcommittee will also discuss whether the current definition of equity in the context of cannabis businesses correctly captures individuals affected by the War on Drugs.
The meeting will be live-streamed and open to the public. Instructions for joining the virtual meeting are included in the agenda. No registration is required to join. Meeting materials will be posted to the Department of Cannabis Control website as they become available.
The CAC advises the DCC on the development of standards and regulations for commercial cannabis businesses, including those necessary to protect public health and safety. The CAC provides an important venue for robust public discussions that support the development of an innovative regulatory framework that benefits all Californians and results in a safe, sustainable, and equitable cannabis market. |
