Review: Ice Cream Sandwiches and Jet Fuel OG Infused Prerolls by Dogwalkers
The infused preroll really is having a great year. It seems that every time I stop into the dispensary, a new infused joint label or punched up addition to an already existing preroll pops on the menu. Dogwalkers, from GTI, is already well known in Illinois for its multipacks of shorty prerolls, but Dogwalkers recently introduced an infused version of the same tiny prerolls. I recently stopped into Rise Effingham and picked up packs of Ice Cream Sandwiches and Jet Fuel OG infused prerolls to review.
Ice Cream Sandwiches is a hybrid cross of Ice Cream Cake and Oreoz. This batch of prerolls tested at 0.096% CBDa, 1.701% THC, 47.632% THCa, and 49.429% total cannabinoids. Jet Fuel OG is a hybrid cross of High Country Diesel and Aspen OG. This batch of prerolls tested at 0.104% CBDa, 1.029% THC, 43.082% THCa, and 44.215% total cannabinoids.
Dogwalkers prerolls came as a 5-pack of 0.35-gram cones. Each small preroll was just over a couple inches with an equal sized crutch and smokable portion. The interior of these prerolls was sticky with distillate and benefited greatly from some pre-work by rolling them between my fingers to help increase airflow.
Ice Cream Sandwiches provided notes of sweet cream, green bell pepper, black pepper, and vanilla in the aroma and a dry pull. The flavor was a dense blend of cream, pepper, cedar, and heavy earthiness at the exhale that only became stronger as the joint reached the end. Jet Fuel OG carried notes of tangy diesel and dried hops in the aroma. The flavor carried those notes of hops and gassy diesel, but as the preroll burned down, I also found vegetal notes of carrot and flora lavender tones.
Both strains came on quick with a sharp come up that hit all at once before the joint was finished. Ice Cream Sandwiches was much more indica-leaning than the hybrid-labeled indicated with a heavy pressure unfolding at my crown and in my core. The mental buzz was foggy and silly, relaxing me and putting some perspective on my worries for the day.
Jet Fuel OG rode the hybrid line much more clearly with a body buzz setting but leaning more into light tingling than the heavy pressure of the Ice Cream Sandwiches. Mentally, there was the same fog but as time passed, my headspace cleared and Jet Fuel OG provided a window of clearheadedness that was good for focusing on work. Consumers looking for a heavier hit inside the same small Dogwalkers packaged will be pleased with these Show Dog prerolls.
