Review: Cotton Candy Gummies by Legacy
In our last “First Look” review for the new Legacy products launching now in Illinois, we take a look at Legacy’s Cotton Candy Gummies picked up from nuEra Champaign. Other Legacy reviews included XXX flower, Orange Velvet Underground Preroll, Orange Velvet Underground Live Resin, and Candy Store Live Terp Cartridge.
The Cotton Candy Gummies were a nice change after reviewing four-straight inhalable products. The distillate cotton candy gummies came as a ten pack, each gummy with 10mg of THC. The gummies were about the size and shape of two nickels pressed together and covered in sugar.
The aroma of the gummies hit with a sweet candied mix of floral orange and berries, similar to what cotton candy Peeps smells like. The soft gummies’ texture dissolved easily after a few chews. The flavor was definitely for those with a sweet tooth. From the start, the sweet pink cotton-candy flavor rose to the top and continued with over-sweetened lemonade and citrus flavor.
The effects felt consistent with 10mg THC gummies, and though distillate edibles usually take a little longer to kick in, the Cotton Candy Gummies had somewhat of a quicker onset for me than normal. The overall effect landed somewhere in the middle.
The head high and body buzz fell into the traditional hybrid effects category. The head high was relatively clearheaded and the body buzz was strong but I remained functional. At higher doses, I did have a slight tiredness near the peak of the buzz, but it went away after 15 minutes. The rest of the buzz was happy and relaxing, and I was able to chill on the couch or, if I wanted, get up and move around the house.
