The Compliance Officer is responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Staying up to date with applicable regulations and pending regulatory changes.
- Drafting, implementing, and overseeing company compliance policy.
- Briefing the Director of Legal Operations and advising the Final Bell executive team and board with respect to all things compliance.
- Scheduling and managing compliance audits (internal and external), reviews, and filings.
- Develop rapport with cannabis regulatory agency personnel
- Guide Final Bell’s lobbying efforts
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience of directly interfacing with cannabis regulatory entities
- Juris Doctor and Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Licensed to practice law in California, New York, Nevada, Massachusetts, any other US state, or Canada (preferred)
- Strong writing skills; please provide a writing sample
- Detail oriented and organized
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, responds well to pressure
- Ability to work independently, manage large workload, and keep deadlines
