Review: Electric Lemonade Live Badder by Bedford Grow
I love to reflect on how far we’ve come as stoners. In the days of prohibition, the heavy consumer may have had a favorite strain or two but the level of granular choice we have today would have been unimaginable years ago. Today, stoners not only have favorite cultivars but also favorite terpenes, and mine is hands down, terpinolene. Something about the sharp citrus diesel tang delights me like no other flavor. Bedford Grow has often delivered concentrates heavy in this tangy terp, which is why I picked the Electric Lemonade Live Badder when it dropped on the Maribis Springfield menu.
Electric Lemonade is a sativa leaning hybrid cross of (3rd Coast Panama Chunk x Amnesia Sour Diesel) and Pink Lemonade. This live badder tested at 73.92% THCa, 4.05% Delta-9 THC, 4.72% CBGa, and 83.25% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were a generous 14.87% with terpinolene, limonene, β-Myrcene, and α-Pinene being the heaviest.
Bedford Grow has also added a cutout at the bottom of its packaging, allowing consumers to see through the glass slick and get eyes on the concentrate, a move I commend. This gram came as a mound of yellow-orange badder concentrated near the edge of the jar but spread out enough to cover the bottom of the jar in a translucent layer of badder.
The terpene content was visibly high, and when I manipulated the badder in the jar or pulled a dose on to my dab wand, golden terpene heavy oil pooled up at the edges. This badder was notably smooth and had a similar consistency to room temperature butter. The aroma was strong, reaching out across the room as soon as I opened the jar. Inside, the scent was sharp on the top end opening with lime, bergamot, grapefruit, and diesel. Underneath this, I found a complex combination of stainless steel and sharp cleaner notes (in the most pleasant way possible) with hints of fresh strawberries, hops, and cucumber on the finish.
The flavor is dominated by the tangy lime, grapefruit, and diesel combination with the steel and cleaner tones disappearing and the strawberry flashing by on the finish. The effects were quick to set in, opening up my headspace and reducing my anxiety. My energy levels were boosted more by this dab than they were the cup of coffee I’d had, and I took advantage by diving into some work. Electric Lemonade didn’t provide a lot of focus by itself, but it did provide enough relief from my constant self-talk that I found a productivity boost.
The physical profile started at my crown as a vibrating headband of euphoria that moved down into my body as time passed. The body effect was pleasant and never became strong enough to distract me from the mental work I was doing. Electric Lemonade’s energy boosting effect made it a really useful Work Sativa (except for the mental focus) and the high terpene content made it a tasting experience I could go back to again and again.
