Eclipse Carnival sets Costume Contests schedule
The inaugural Eve of the Eclipse Cannabis Carnival: A Masquerade and Cosplay Party has released times and categories for its Costume Contests. The Eclipse Cannabis Carnival, produced by News Joint Events, is set to award prizes for four costume categories, including Best Overall Costume, Best Cosplay, Best Masquerade, and Best Couple (or Group). The Eve of the Eclipse Cannabis Carnival invites all attendees to don their best costume or masquerade disguise and enter the Costume Contest for a chance to win a prize packet.
The Garden Grove Event Center, located at 1215 East Walnut Street in Carbondale, is set to host the Eclipse Cannabis Carnival from 3-9 p.m. April 7. The Costume Contest starts at 6 p.m. Contestants needs to be signed up by 5:30 p.m. The winner of the Best Couple (or Group) will be announced first, then the Best Cosplay and Best Masquerade. The Best Overall Costume will be announced last. The Eve of the Eclipse Cannabis Carnival is free to all adults 21 years of age or older, but tickets have to be reserved via EventHi. The ticket portal will be open until the end of the event to accommodate walk-ins and curious eclipse wanderers.
In addition, we partnered with the Kosydor Compound to help connect anyone who wants to attend the Carbondale eclipse weekend but does not want to pay for overpriced hotels or bed and breakfast accommodations. The Kosydor Eclipse Experience invites campers to stay on a 3-acre camping site from April 6-9 (or by day), as well as anyone who wants to watch the Eclipse on Monday, April 8. For more information about camping options, visit here. To fill out the Kosydor Compound Booking form, visit here.
The Eclipse Cannabis Carnival will also host legal consumption, a cannabis bar (sponsored by The Botanist), infused cannabis bar (sponsored by Tonic), vendors, games, prizes, and more. To enter the parking lot, attendees must show ID and proof of ticket. Potential vendors can reserve a FREE 10’x10’ vending space by reserving a Ticket at EventHi link and then emailing us to let us to confirm the business name.
