Under the legal commercial cannabis framework, craft legacy cannabis producers have largely lost access to opportunities to connect directly with consumers. In turn, consumer and patient access to farm-fresh cannabis and small batch products at retail have substantially diminished since legalization.
AB-2691 (Wood) would enable small licensed cannabis producers to obtain a temporary retail license to vend their products at a limited number of licensed, locally approved cannabis events annually.
AB 2691 would provide a pathway for small producers to establish consumer relationships, and drive consumers to these products at licensed retail facilities.
