LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KARK/KAIT) – A group wanting to expand medical marijuana access in Arkansas is getting closer to its goal.
According to our content partner KARK, Arkansans for Patient Access is behind the measure and recently received approval from Attorney General Tim Griffin for their latest version of the measure.
If approved, the measure would change the current medical marijuana law and increase access for patients.
While the role is currently limited to doctors, the proposal would add nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists.
The group now has until July to get the 90,000 required signatures for it to go on the November ballot.
