A few weeks to go and a general election is in full swing in Australia.
This time last year the Legalise Cannabis Party in Australia was comprised of a number of disparate state-based organisations.
This year, the party for the first time , is presenting a unified national front for the 2022 general election and as they have virtually received no coverage from the mainstream media, here at Cannabis Law Report, we thought it might be an idea to get to know the candidates on their own terms.
We have forwarded all candidates in the party exactly the same questionnaire with a number of questions that will give readers and voters an opportunity to learn a bit more about their candidates, who are in the main, standing for the Australian Senate

BIOGRAPHY
I am a long time cannabis activist, fighting for the change of a unjust law
I believe cannabis to be healthy alternative to alcohol and that cannabis should be treated as a crop the same as corn or tomatoes .
I also believe that the legalisation of cannabis will help us build a better economy. I would also like better access to medical cannabis, cutting cost to be more competitive with the black market
WHAT MADE YOU STAND?
To bring change to this unjust law and to fight for freedom for all Australians and to help our nation out of poverty!
IF YOU ARE VOTED IN WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE IN THE LIFE OF THE PARLIAMENT FOR CANNABIS
- Freedom for people to grow their own cannabis.
- A regulated industry that gives small growers the opportunity to sell their products to consumers and cannabis dispensaries.
- Allowing restaurants to open cannabis cuisine cafés and eateries
- Roadside Drug testing, testing for intoxication not presence of THC
- I would also focus on unemployment and community housing projects.
- Nobody should be homeless! Increasing unemployment payments and disability pension payments
