Review: Banana Strawberry Gummy by Dr. Consalter
The final gummy I have to review (previous reviews) from the new Dr. Consalter line is potentially the best fit for me because it focuses on my problem area, sleep. I recently stopped into Consume Marion and picked up the Dr. Consalter Banana Strawberry Jemmy Gummy to review.
Dr Consalter Banana Strawberry Gummy comes as a single gummy with 100mg THC and 50mg of CBN. The ingredients are corn syrup, sugar, water, gelatin, sorbitol, citric & malic acid, FD&C Yellow 5 & 6, Blue 1, Red 40, natural and artificial flavors, vegetable oil, carnauba wax, THC, and CBN.
The large gummy had a slightly off-white/yellow tone that almost perfectly resembled the interior of a banana. The radiating pattern sectioned the single candy into ten slices. Among the densest gummies I’ve sampled, The Dr. Consalter Jemmy gummies couldn’t be torn by hand and bounced back considerably when chewed.
The top end of the flavor profile was a sweet and tangy artificial strawberry note but it was cut through by a creamy tone that leaned towards banana milkshake rather than banana. The finish carried a bitter herbal tone and the first flavor indication of an infusion I’ve found in the entire Dr. Consalter line. Despite the bitter kick at the finish, the gummy flavor wasn’t long lasting and cleared from the palate almost as soon as the gummy was gone.
The gummy took a full hour to properly set in, an effect I contributed to the density. A wave of lightness and relaxation set in to my muscles and continued to build, becoming an unbalanced sensation that felt like a combination of floating and trying to get my sealegs. My awareness became hazier and more tightened as the physical sensation built, eventually relegating me to the couch and putting me to sleep without much of an option. The heavy CBN dosage was an easy win for sleep in an easy to consume package.
