Review: Strawberry Jemmy Gummy by Dr. Consalter
“Why isn’t everyone doing this?” was my first question when I discovered the Dr. Consalter line of single-serve 100mg gummies. My latest pick up from the line was the Strawberry CBG infused option.
Picked up at Consume Marion, Dr. Consalter Strawberry Jemmy Gummy came as a single gummy with 100mg of THC and 50mg of CBG. The ingredients were corn syrup, sugar, water, gelatin, citric acid, artificial flavor, pectin, vegetable oil, carnauba leaf wax, FD&C Red #40, THC, and CBG.
The large circular bright red gummy had some weight in the hand, an indication of the dense consistency. The top of the candy carried a pizza slice pattern that marked off 10 even segments for consumers looking to break up the dose. The dense consistency was more evident on the tooth with a bouncy push back.
The flavor was straightforward with a clean sweet artificial strawberry flavor that could have passed as a standard grocery-store bought candy. There was a very light bitterness right at the finish, but it was short-lived, leaving a clean palate in its wake.
The gummy set in after a 30-minute wait with a clearheaded and wide-open consciousness that kept me present, calm, and grounded. A warming relaxation washed over my muscles, relieving some chronic pain and exacerbating the grounded presence provided by the mental aspect. One of the things that I’ve appreciated about the Dr. Consalter line of gummies is the relatively higher (50mg+) doses of minor cannabinoids paired with the THC, creating clear and distinct profiles in each gummy.
