The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run Wednesday morning. The crash happened on Interstate 10 East at the Poydras Street exit in the Central Business District. According to police, a person was struck by a car at the intersection around 1:57 a.m.EMS declared the victim dead on the scene.
