Four people have been injured after a tree branch fell at a children’s playground in Wollongong’s CBD.

The branch fell just before 3pm on Sunday at MacCabe Park in Wollongong, during a family-friendly festival held at the park.

One primary school-aged girl, one woman in her 30s and two women in their 40s were treated at the scene by paramedics, NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au.

They suffered minor injuries and were taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.

Hundreds attended the Eid al-Fitr celebrations at MacCabe Park on Sunday.

The day of celebration marked the end of a month of fasting during daylight for Muslims observing Ramadan.
