Australian General Election, Legalise Cannabis Party Candidates Profiles: Tyler Green Senate Candidate Adelaide (South Australia) Legalise Cannabis Party

The 3rd of our candidate profiles

A few weeks to go and a general election is in full swing in Australia.

This time last year the Legalise Cannabis Party in Australia was comprised of a number of disparate state-based organisations.
This year, the party for the first time , is presenting a unified national front for the 2022 general election and as they have virtually received no coverage from the mainstream media, here at Cannabis Law Report, we thought it might be an idea to get to know the candidates on their own terms.
We have forwarded all candidates in the party exactly the same questionnaire with a number of questions that will give readers and voters an opportunity to learn a bit more about their candidates, who are in the main, standing for the Australian Senate

BIO
I am a married father of 4 with 3 living children.
I am also a  passionate community advocate interested progressive, intelligent policy creation that improves the living standards and community participation for all members of our society. Honest, hard working, diligent and trustworthy.
I was banned from National Level Baseball in 2009 for an in competition ASADA Test. (Claxton Shield Baseball Competition held in 2008 – Blacktown, Sydney (tested positive to metabolites of cannabis).
I returned to National Level Baseball in 2010. I felt the ban was arbitrary and inappropriate.
My first born son was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) in January 2013 and treated with opioid medication until he passed 23rd April 2014.
Whilst we received the best quality care modern medicine can offer and palliative care I became acutely aware of the potential hurdles people face with their preferred treatment(s) of choice.
Community access to botanical medicine is something I care deeply about. I staunchly believe in the “right to choose” ones treatment and bodily autonomy.
Freedom of determination.
Freedom of information.
Improved community housing.
Mental Health Access to Care.
WHAT MADE YOU STAND?
I am driven and enthusiastic about doing my part to create a “better, move inclusive, compassionate Australia. I feel that I have a lot to offer the constituents that I live amongst. If one talks the talk, they should walk the walk.
IF YOU ARE VOTED IN WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE IN THE LIFE OF THE PARLIAMENT FOR CANNABIS
I am driven and enthusiastic about doing my part to create a “better, move inclusive, compassionate Australia. I feel that I have a lot to offer the constituents that I live amongst. If one talks the talk, they should also walk the walk!
I understand that in my role as a member of an independent party the responsibility will be upon us to work with whichever of the two major party takes the reigns of power after this election. The Legalize Cannabis party needs to work with the major parties and the TGA to further improve medical cannabis access for patients both within my state of SA and nationally.
Although it would be a positive to also talk about recreational cannabis regulation options, I am realistic enough to understand that in the Australian political reality this will only follow once a far more robust medical cannabis environment is created for patients and providers.
That means working toward a  more finely balanced combination of  political negotiation, education and discussion of the medical cannabis supply chain that can improve both access and pricing for patients.
WHAT OTHER POLITICAL ISSUES WILL YOU HIGHLIGHT?
Freedom of determination. Freedom of information. Improved community housing. Mental Health Access to Care.
HAVE YOU ENTERED A PREFERENCES DEAL & WITH WHOM?
This will be decided by Federal Party Office.
