We Are Moving!

Written by COO Chuck Henn

By now I am sure many of our patients and supporters are aware that PAH is moving to a new location at 1003 Mt. Hermon Rd, in Salisbury! Our little building that could, 400 snow Hill road, has served us well through the first two years of operation. With that being said, It was evident to our leadership team 18 months ago that the building would not be conducive to our growing patient base, or the aspirations of our business plans for the future.

Moving physical locations for any business is difficult, to say the least. If you layer on the regulations from the state, the stigma attached to our industry, and our own unique criteria, we found the process to be downright hard and at times extremely frustrating. Each time we found a place that may work, the neighbors did not want to be neighbors. Other locations had little parking or were in the wrong state senatorial district. Although it took quite some time we feel we landed in the perfect location!

Through the course of the next few months, we will be sharing updates on our progress and introducing our community to our new venture, Peninsula Wellness. Here are a few early hi-lights and things to look forward to at the new campus!

Parking- We hear from our patients, our neighbors and community about the inadequate parking at the current location. Although we alleviated some of the issues with the gravel parking lot, we know that is not enough. The new location has ample parking in the front, the side and the rear of the building. There will more handicap parking and two entrances to the building that ensure patients and members of the public can enter the building with ease.

Community Room- Two of our core principles here at PAH are education and community building. WE LOVE educating not only our patients but also members of the general public, physicians, government organizations and other groups about the medicinal benefits of cannabis. We feel as if it is our duty to do so. Something that breaks our hearts is not having adequate space to host people inside our current facility. One of the most exciting things for us is our new community room! This will be a large multi-use space located inside the public suite of the campus. We plan on hosting vendor meet and greets, learning and education seminars, wellness classes such as yoga and a ton of other great events for the community. The emphasis of these events will be education surrounding not only cannabinoid medicine but other therapies and methods to increase our community’s overall mental and physical health and wellness.

Better Patient Experience- At PAH we strive to give our patients the best experience possible, its what drives us as a team. The new dispensary will certainly deliver a more welcoming and aesthetically appealing experience for our patients, but we will not lose touch with who we are. Although not significantly, the patient waiting room and dispensary area will both be expanding in size from what we have now. We will also be installing and staffing multiple cashier stations in the dispensary to better expedite the checkout process. Finally, PAH is in the process of starting a clinical program for those patients that need continued help/care with their cannabis regimen. The new campus will have office space available for appointments, in which private in-depth consultations can occur away from the dispensary floor.

We could not be more excited to give PAH a new home. We want to thank all of our past, current and future patients for sticking with us and supporting us through the first 2 years of business. We hope everyone is just as excited as we are for the new future of PAH. Please stay tuned for more updates on the progress.
