Peninsula Alternative Health (PAH) is a medical cannabis dispensary in Salisbury Maryland. As pioneers of the Maryland cannabis industry, we take great pride in offering patients a wide variety of products and clinical guidance. PAH strives to be a positive influence in the community and encourages patients to use cannabis as a complimentary medicine. Through patient feedback and ongoing research, our team provides thoughtful recommendations on cannabis products that best fit the individual’s needs. The patients experience at our dispensary is extremely important to us.

What future patients can expect on their first visit:

When a new patient first arrives at PAH, they check in with security.

The security agent verifies the patient's credentials and assures their validity.

From there, they are guided into a waiting room until a patient consultant (PC) welcomes them back into the sales room.

The goal of the PC is to use therapeutic communication to evaluate how cannabis could address the condition.

Various methods of administration are discussed including inhalation, sub lingual, edible, topical, and transdermal.

In addition, ratios of cannabinoids and terpenes are assessed and explained.

After a mutual agreement on product selection and dosage between patient and PC, the patient ends their visit with the cashier who processes the transaction.

A few things to remember as you begin your journey

1. Start low and go slow.

Because cannabis influences everyone a little differently and certain conditions respond best to micro-dosing, we generally advise patients to begin with 2.5 mg THC/CBD and evaluate the effectiveness. Another 2.5mg dose can be taken 4 hours later if needed.

2. Try not to get discouraged if your expectations are not met immediately.

Some conditions are associated with an endocannabinoid deficiency and require more time to replenish.

3. Do your research.

There is a wealth of knowledge on the internet from clinical studies to support groups. Sharing stories with other medical cannabis patients can be very productive and offer support.

4. Ask questions.

We pride ourselves in having highly educated and compassionate patient consultants who are experts in their field. Never hesitate to ask them questions.

We understand that with this unfamiliar and alternative therapy there may be questions and needed guidance. From first time users to experienced cannabis patients, we feel instruction and counsel are an essential part of a successful outcome. While we consistently encourage our patients to talk to their primary care practitioners before introducing a cannabis protocol, our team can provide guidance built on clinical training and patient testimonials. PAH welcomes our rapidly growing patient base and is eager about the evolution of this alternative therapy.
